This area distinguishes the Nauticat 52 from all other vessels.
- To starboard is the inside steering station with a large hinged-top chart table immediately in front of the helmsman
- Main electrical circuit panels, navigational equipment and engine controls are at the the helmsman’s fingertips
- A full width contoured panel above the windshields serve as a flush mounting panel for instrument and other instrument displays
- A lockable, sliding door is to starboard, beneath which is a large gear locker for sailing equipment/life preservers, etc.
- To Port is a large raised, U-shaped settee surrounding a teak table with fiddles
- The table pedestal contains a two shelf storage area accessed via two brass-hinged teak doors
- Full visibility is provided for the helmsman or from the U-shaped Settee

- Bulk storage area beneath the aft portion of the settee
- Fixed port lights provide all around, above deck view of surroundings
- Fixed port lights are of special toughened safety glass mounted in alloy frames
- Two 18 x 18 inch overhead adjustable hatches, port and starboard
- Companionway steps lead up and aft to the cockpit
- Forward and midships are steps leading down to the galley, dinette and forward cabins
- Aft and to starboard is a curved stairway leading down to the aft cabins.
- A large wet locker is outboard of the stairs
- The companionway has a sliding translucent hatch and removable clear lexan washboard in captive stainless steel tracks with lock
- Two overhead lights with Hi/Lo settings
